UPSC Civil Services Notification 2021: Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is going to release the notification of Civil Services Examination 2021 and Indian Forest Service Examination 2021 very soon. According to the calendar, UPSC was to release the notification of Civil Services Examination 2021 on February 10. But the Commission could not issue the notification as the matter of giving extra chance was pending in the Supreme Court. But after the disposal of the matter in the top court on February 24, there are speculations that the Civil Services Examination 2021 notification may be issued early next week. However, UPSC has confirmed that the Civil Services Prelims exam will be held on June 27, 2021 only.

On February 24, the Supreme Court in its judgment had refused to grant relief to candidates seeking extra chances for the UPSC Civil Services Examination, for whom the age limit has expired in the previous examination. The Supreme Court had dismissed all the petitions of civil service aspirants seeking an additional chance to appear in the civil services pre-examination to be held this year. The Central Government had told the Supreme Court that there are 34000 students who have completed their last attempt in the preliminary examination of 2020. In such a situation, if these candidates are given relief, then they will be eligible to appear in the preliminary examination 2021 and will block the path of the candidates who will appear in this year’s examination.

UPSC conducts annually in three phases to select officers for civil services like Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Police Service (IPS), Indian Revenue Service (IRS) and Preliminary, Main and The interview is conducted by the Civil Services Examination. Every year about 8 lakh youth appear in this recruitment exam. At present, the minimum age limit for this recruitment exam has been fixed at 21 years and maximum 32 years. There is a relaxation of five years for SC, ST category candidates and three years for OBC. Graduates from any stream can apply for this.
